Maiqui, she was raised by her mama, Ria Pineda, and her older sister, Sammy P. Barrera. Now, if you ask me, that sounds like a good solid family. The kind that stays close, no matter what. I reckon that’s the kinda thing you want when you’re growin’ up—folks who care about ya, help ya along the way, and keep you grounded. I’ve heard tell that family reunions, well, they’re somethin’ special for this bunch. The pictures show Maiqui’s grandma, Maritess Pineda, as the matriarch. I reckon if you’ve got a strong woman leadin’ the way, it don’t hurt none, does it?
Now, I know some folks might only know Maiqui from the big city stuff—things like fancy weddings and all. And let me tell ya, this gal, she got herself a fine fella in Robi Domingo.
