Well, if you’re findin’ yourself in Krakow, Poland, and wonderin’ what to buy, listen up. I ain’t no fancy travel writer, but I know a thing or two about gettin’ your money’s worth.
First off, you gotta see all them tours and things. They got all sorts of stuff, from walkin’ around the old town to seein’ castles and salt mines. Don’t just stand there gawkin’, book somethin’! And if you can skip them long lines, even better. Time’s precious, and you don’t wanna waste it standin’ around.

Now, about them reviews. Folks say there’s millions of ’em, tellin’ you what’s good and what ain’t. I say, read a few, but don’t get too caught up. Sometimes you just gotta go see for yourself. Trust your gut, I always say.
Now, onto the shoppin’ part.
- You like shiny things? They got this amber stuff. It’s like hardened tree sap, but pretty. They make all sorts of jewelry with it. Earrings, necklaces, you name it. Good for gifts, I reckon, if you wanna bring somethin’ back for the folks.
- Then there’s this pottery from Bolesławiec. It’s got all them fancy patterns, blue and white and such. Plates, bowls, mugs… you can fill your whole kitchen with it. Makes a nice change from them plain white dishes, don’t ya think?
- Oh, and don’t forget the food! They got gingerbread, real spicy and sweet. And honey, good for your throat, especially if you’re catchin’ a cold from all that travelin’.
- And cheese! They got this smoked sheep cheese called oscypek. It’s kinda strong, but good if you like that sorta thing. Makes a change from that yellow stuff you get at the store.
- Then there’s them krówki candies. They’re like caramels, but better. Sweet and chewy, melt in your mouth. Grab a bag, you won’t regret it.
- And if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ warm, they got sheepskin and leather stuff. Coats, hats, gloves… keeps you toasty when it’s cold. And they last a good long while, not like that cheap stuff you get nowadays.
So there you have it. A few ideas for what to buy in Krakow. Don’t just stick to the tourist traps, wander around a bit. You never know what you might find. And don’t be afraid to haggle, especially at them markets. A few zlotys here and there can add up.
Now, go on, enjoy your trip. And don’t forget to bring me back somethin’ nice!
