Well, let me tell you, these newfangled things, these brown Kailh switches, they’re somethin’ else. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout ’em, and I thought, “What in tarnation is a brown Kailh switch?” You see, I got this here computer thing, and the keys, they started stickin’. Like when you’re makin’ biscuits and the dough gets stuck to your fingers, that’s how these keys were. So, I needed some new ones. I ain’t no expert on these things, but I’ll tell ya what I learned.
First off, there’s these Cherry things. Cherry MX somethin’. They’re like the old reliable, like that cast iron skillet your grandma used to have. Everybody says they’re the best, the original, like they’re the first ones to come off the line. They came out back in, oh, I don’t know, 1994 or somethin’. Sounds like a long time ago, don’t it? They say these Cherry things are good for typin’ and for playin’ those games the young’uns are always on about. Supposed to have a nice feel to ’em, not too hard, not too soft.

But then there’s these Kailh fellas. Kailh brown switches, they call ’em. Now, some folks say the Kailh ones that are like the Cherry ones, well, they ain’t as good. They say they’re scratchy. Like when you’re itchin’ a mosquito bite, that’s scratchy. I don’t know about all that, but that’s what I heard.
But these other brown Kailh switches, the ones that are their own kind, not tryin’ to be like the Cherry ones, well, them’s different. They’re like, I don’t know, like a new recipe for apple pie. Still apple pie, but with a little somethin’ extra. They say they’re smoother. Like butter, maybe. And easier to push down. You don’t need to be a weightlifter to use ’em. They say you only need 41g of somethin’ to push ’em. I don’t know what a “g” is, maybe like a little chicken, a guinea hen, 41 of them? Just a guess. Cherry ones, they need more, like 2mm, and these Kailh ones are a little less, 1.9mm. Like the difference between a thin slice of bacon and a real thick one. It’s all about the numbers, I guess.
Now, they got this bump, they say. Like a little hill you gotta go over with your finger. The Cherry bump is in the middle, like the middle of a see-saw. But this brown Kailh switches bump, it’s closer to the start, and a little heavier. They say they got a box design, these Kailh ones. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like puttin’ your good jewelry in a special box. These new brown kailh switches are better than old Cherry.
So, which one’s better? Well, that’s like askin’ which is better, apple pie or peach cobbler. Some folks like one, some folks like the other. These new brown Kailh switches are good. They say these Kailh ones are good for workin’ in an office, or for playin’ those games. Depends what you like, I reckon. Me? I just want somethin’ that don’t stick. And these brown Kailh switches, they don’t stick near as much.
I heard some young folks talkin’ ’bout keyboards, these fancy ones, Anne Pro 2 and Ducky One 2 SF. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? They were sayin’ these keyboards got these switches. I don’t know much about these fancy keyboards, but I guess if you’re serious about your typin’ or your gamin’, you might want to look into ’em. I’m just using this old thing here. It gets the job done.

- Kailh switches are only 41g, Cherry is more.
- Kailh has a box, Cherry don’t.
- Brown Kailh switches are the best, they say.
This whole brown Kailh switches thing, it’s a lot to take in. But I guess that’s the way things are these days. Always somethin’ new comin’ along. Just gotta keep up, I suppose. Like learnin’ how to use that newfangled microwave oven. Took me a while, but I got the hang of it. Same with these switches, I reckon. Just gotta learn about ’em. It is easy to learn about brown Kailh switches. You will know how to choose brown Kailh switches.

Anyway, if your keys are stickin’ like mine were, maybe you should think about these brown Kailh switches. They seem to be workin’ just fine for me. And that’s all that matters, right? Somethin’ that works, and somethin’ that’s easy to use. That’s what I look for in anything, whether it’s a newfangled computer thing or a good old-fashioned hoe. Just gotta find what works for you. And remember these brown Kailh switches are good.
