Well, let me tell you about these sky v3 switches. My grandson, he’s always on that computer thing, clickin’ and clackin’ away. He told me all about these switches, says they’re important for how the keyboard feels. He’s a good boy, always trying to explain things to his old granny.
So, these sky v3 things, they’re like little buttons under the keys. You press ’em, and they make the letters show up on the screen. He says these sky v3 are “linear,” which I guess means they go straight down smooth, no bumps. Like when you push down the dough for biscuits, real easy and smooth. He likes the linear switches for his gaming stuff.

Now, there are other kinds too. There are some called “tactile,” he says. He said these tactile switches have a little bump when you press ’em, so you can feel it. Like when you’re walkin’ on the cobblestone path, you feel each little stone. Those are better for the typing, he says, helps you know you pressed the key right.
- Sky V3 – These are the smooth ones, good for fast things, like when that grandson of mine is playing those games.
- Tactile – These got that bump. Better for when you’re writin’ letters or somethin’.
- Clicky – Oh, these are noisy! They click real loud, like a bunch of chickens clucking. Some folks like ’em, but not me. Too much racket.
He was goin’ on about some called “Epsilon V2s” or somethin’. Said they weren’t good. “Scratchy” and “pingy,” he said. Like an old rusty gate swingin’ in the wind, I reckon. So, you gotta be careful which ones you get, I guess. Not all these switches are made the same.
Then there are these “creamy” ones. He showed me a video, and they sounded real nice. Like butter, smooth and quiet. He says they make typing feel like “floatin’ on the wind.” That sounds kinda nice, don’t it? Like a summer breeze through the cornfield.
This whole keyboard thing is a mystery to me. Back in my day, we just had typewriters. Big, clunky things, but they got the job done. You had to press those keys hard, like you were milkin’ a cow! These new ones are all fancy, with different colors and sounds. It’s a whole different world now with mechanical keyboard switches.
These Dareu Blue Sky V3, they come pre-lubed, he said. Sounds kinda messy, but I guess it makes ’em work better. Like greasin’ the wagon wheel, keeps things runnin’ smooth. You can put ’em in keyboards that are “hot-swap.” No idea what that means, but it sounds like somethin’ you gotta be careful with, like a hot stove. These custom linear switches are real popular it seems.
And these Cherry switches, they’re like the old reliable ones. Like a good ol’ pair of work boots. He says the linear ones are good, but the others aren’t worth it. Says there are better ones out there for clickin’ and bumpin’. This Cherry MX is real popular for some folks.

He also mentioned these Akko Creamy Purple Pro. Said they are good for typing. He showed me a sound test, and they sounded smooth. Like when you are stirring a pot of soup, real quiet and gentle. He said they are stable, like a good strong fence post. And they have a light lube, so they are smooth out of the box.
He was tellin’ me that you gotta pick the right switch for your “keycaps.” I think those are the plastic bits on top that you press. He said some are good for deep sounds, and others are good for somethin’ else. Like pickin’ the right tool for the job, I guess. You wouldn’t use a hoe to milk a cow, would ya?
Honestly, it’s all a bit much for me. But if it makes him happy, that’s all that matters. He says these sky v3 switches are good for typin’ and gamin’. He was even talkin’ about “WPM” which means words per minute. Kids these days with their fancy terms. He’s always tryin’ to improve his WPM and break those records in typin’ tests. I’m proud of him though.
These young folks, they love their gadgets. I guess these sky v3 switches are just one of those things. As long as they keep that clickin’ and clackin’ down, I don’t mind. It’s better than them gettin’ into trouble, that’s for sure.
It’s good to have that balanced characteristics, like they say, in life and with keyboard switches too. It brings comfort and you can be precise with your work, whether you play games or work. Each of them little switches has something good about them.
