Okay, so I was scrolling through my drama list the other day, trying to find something to watch, and I stumbled upon this title, “A Love So Beautiful.” I remembered seeing it a while back, maybe sometime in 2017, and thought, “Why not give it another shot?”
So, I started watching it. The show is about these two high school kids, Chen Xiaoxi and Jiang Chen. They’re neighbors, classmates, the whole deal. Xiaoxi is this super bubbly, energetic girl who’s totally head over heels for Jiang Chen. He’s the smart, aloof type, you know, the kind of guy who acts like he doesn’t care but secretly does.

Getting into It
I dove straight into the first episode. Started by getting myself comfy on the couch, grabbed some snacks, the usual routine. Launched the show on my laptop, and bam, I was in their world.
- Watched Chen Xiaoxi chase after Jiang Chen relentlessly. It was kind of adorable and a little bit cringey at times, but I was hooked.
- Observed how Jiang Chen would always push her away, but then he’d do these little things that showed he cared. Ugh, the classic push-pull dynamic, you know?
- Noticed the side characters too. They were pretty fun and added some good laughs to the mix.
I honestly binged a bunch of episodes in one sitting. I got really invested in their story and I wanted to see how their relationship would develop.
Few Days Later
Alright, so I finished the whole series. Took me a few days, but I did it. And let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were moments where I was laughing out loud, moments where I was tearing up, and moments where I wanted to throw my laptop across the room because Jiang Chen was being so frustrating!
My Thoughts
But overall, I really enjoyed it. It was a sweet, heartwarming story about first love and all the ups and downs that come with it. It reminded me of my own high school days, even though my life wasn’t nearly as dramatic. There were no unnecessary plot lines, which I appreciated. And I have to say, the show did a good job of keeping me entertained without being silly.
If you’re looking for something light and fluffy to watch, I’d definitely recommend giving “A Love So Beautiful” a try. It brought me a warm feeling. It’s a cute, feel-good drama that will probably leave you with a smile on your face. The more Jiang Chen and Xiaoxi interact, the more I loved them.
Oh, and one more thing! Finished the drama actually made me write this whole review. So, yeah, it made a pretty big impression on me, I guess!
