Okay, so I’ve been trying to lose some belly fat lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a real pain in the butt. I heard about these weighted yoga balls and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” So, I got one online – you know, there are tons of them out there.
First off, I started with some warm-ups. Just some simple stretches to get my body ready. No ball yet, just getting the blood flowing and all that. I did this for about 5 minutes, just to make sure I didn’t pull anything when I got to the real exercises.

Then, I grabbed the ball and started with some basic stuff. I’ve seen people do those crazy moves where they balance on the ball and do all sorts of twists and turns. I wanted to build up to that, but I’m not quite there yet. So, I started with some simple crunches while holding the ball. It’s a bit heavier than I expected, so even these basic moves felt like a workout.
I did about 3 sets of 10 reps, just to see how it felt. My abs were definitely feeling it, in a good way, of course. After that, I tried some leg raises while holding the ball between my feet. That added weight really makes a difference! It was way tougher than the usual leg raises I used to do.
I also tried some planks, with my forearms on the ball. Man, that was tough! The ball’s instability really works your core, trying to keep everything balanced. I could only hold it for like 30 seconds at first. But I kept at it, and after a few days, I could feel myself getting stronger.
- Warm-up:
- 5 minutes of stretching
- Crunches with the ball:
- 3 sets of 10 reps
- Leg raises with the ball:
- 3 sets of 10 reps
- Planks with forearms on the ball:
- Started with 30 seconds, gradually increased
I’ve been doing these exercises for a couple of weeks now, and I’m starting to see some results. My core feels stronger, and I can actually do more reps and hold the planks longer. I’m even starting to see a bit of definition in my abs, which is awesome!
I mean, I’m no fitness expert or anything, but I gotta say, this weighted yoga ball thing seems to be working. It’s definitely more challenging than regular exercises, and it’s kind of fun too. Plus, it feels like I’m working my whole body, not just my abs.
I’m gonna keep at it and maybe try some of those more advanced moves eventually. It might take a while, but hey, I’m in no rush. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Anyways, that’s my experience with the weighted yoga ball so far. If you’re looking for something to spice up your workouts, you might want to give it a try. Just start slow, listen to your body, and don’t push yourself too hard. And hey, maybe we can share tips and progress along the way!
