Hey there, folks! So, I’ve been messing around with this song, “Alleluia Love is Alive,” and I thought I’d share my little adventure with y’all. It all started when I heard this tune at church. The melody, it just grabbed me, you know? So catchy and uplifting. I decided I had to learn it.
First thing I did was to look for the lyrics. I found a bunch of versions online. Some had “People of God, let your fear fall away,” and others were all about how love conquered the grave. I picked the one that resonated with me the most, the one that felt right in my heart.

Finding My Voice
- I tried singing along to a recording I found.
- Boy, oh boy, it wasn’t as easy as it sounded!
- I struggled to hit some of those high notes. My voice cracked a few times, I admit. Sounded like a dying cat.
But I kept at it. I practiced every day, in the shower, in the car, even while doing the dishes. My family probably got tired of hearing me, but hey, a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do, right?
Putting It All Together
Then, I thought, “Why not try to play it on my guitar?” I’m no expert, but I know a few chords. I found some sheet music online, but it looked like a foreign language to me. All those notes and symbols… But I did find out that the main parts were something like Bm, Asus4, G, and D. That at least gave me a start.
I started strumming and singing, trying to match the chords with the lyrics. It was rough, I tell ya. My fingers were clumsy, and the transitions were, well, let’s just say they weren’t smooth.
After many, many attempts, I finally managed to play and sing the whole song. It wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot. But it was mine. My own version of “Alleluia Love is Alive.” And you know what? It felt good. It felt really good.
So, that’s my little story. It’s not about being a pro or having a perfect voice. It’s about the joy of learning, of trying, and of making a song your own. And maybe, just maybe, it’s about letting your heart sing “alleluia” in its own way. The words themselves were so nice and meaningful, you know? The parts where it’s like “Love is alive” and “The son has arisen” were so powerful! I love this song now. It will be a staple for me.
