Okay, so, the other day, I finally got my hands on that Artisan FX Zero Mid XL mousepad. I’d heard some good things, so I was pretty stoked to try it out. I ripped open the packaging – it was a bit like unwrapping a present, you know?
The first thing I noticed was just how freaking big it is. The XL size is no joke. I laid it out on my desk, and it pretty much took over the whole thing. I had to do some serious rearranging to make everything fit, but in a good way. It felt luxurious.
Then I started actually using it. I fired up my computer, launched my favorite game, and started playing. The first thing I noticed is the glide. It feels really fast. I mean, I’ve used other fast pads, but this felt different. I found myself lowering my DPI setting just to compensate. It was a bit of a learning curve, but I liked it. I mean, if you are using a fast pad, you want it to be fast, right?
Once I got used to the speed, I started to appreciate the control it offered. It’s a weird combination, honestly. Fast, but controlled. I was able to make these tiny, precise movements with ease, which is important for me in my games. My aim improved noticeably. I don’t know how it does it, but it does.
I’ve been using it for a few days now, and I’m still impressed. It’s definitely a different feel than what I’m used to, but I’m really digging it. The size is great, the speed is crazy, and the control is on point. I think I am getting better at my games, and I enjoy playing more. I played with it a couple of hours each day, and my arm does not feel tired.
I did run into one minor issue. It wasn’t a huge deal, but one of my cats jumped up on my desk, as they do, and they seemed to be able to move the mousepad. It doesn’t seem to stick as well as I would have liked. I will have to keep my eye on that, but again, not a huge deal.
Overall, I’m really happy with the Artisan FX Zero Mid XL. It’s a unique mousepad that delivers on its promises. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something new to try out. I am excited to see how my gaming will improve over time with this thing!
