Okay, so I had to figure out where they shot this movie “A Family Affair.” Everyone thinks it’s all about Hollywood, but guess what? They didn’t actually film it there.
I started digging around, and it turns out most of the action went down in Atlanta, Georgia. Yeah, I know, not what you’d expect, right?

So, I got to work. I looked into why they chose Atlanta. Turns out, they needed places that could pass for Los Angeles. They found some spots in Atlanta that fit the bill. I checked out a bunch of these locations myself, taking notes and snapping pictures along the way.
- First, I visited this one neighborhood that was supposed to be some fancy LA area. It had the right vibe, you know, with the big houses and all.
- Then, I hit up a few streets that were used for some outdoor scenes. They looked pretty convincing, I gotta say.
- After that, I scouted some indoor locations, like this one building that was supposed to be a swanky office. It definitely had that Hollywood feel.
It was a real eye-opener, seeing how they transformed these Atlanta locations into Hollywood. I mean, they really did a number on them. After they filmed everything, they added some movie magic in post-production to make it look even more like LA. Smart, huh? They made Atlanta look like Hollywood.
I finished up by putting all my notes and pictures together. It was a fun little project, and now I know exactly how they pulled off this location switcheroo for “A Family Affair.”
What a day!
They really fooled a lot of people. If you watch the movie, you’d think it was all shot in LA. But nope, it was Atlanta all along.
