Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with trying to snag a used Seabreacher. It’s not your everyday purchase, that’s for sure!
My Seabreacher Hunt Begins
So, I’ve always been fascinated by these things – basically, a personal submarine that looks like a shark or a dolphin. Awesome, right? I decided I needed one, but the new ones? Crazy expensive. My mission: find a used one.

The Deep Dive into Listings
First, I started scouring the internet. You know, the usual places, used boat websites, some specialty forums, even checked out some auction sites. I spent hours, days even, just scrolling through listings.
It was tough. There weren’t a ton of these bad boys floating around (pun intended!). I found a few, but they were either in terrible condition, ridiculously overpriced, or just…gone before I could even blink.
Getting My Hands Dirty (Metaphorically)
- I emailed a bunch of sellers. Most didn’t even bother replying.
- I called a few, got some answering machines, and had a couple of awkward conversations with people who clearly thought I was nuts.
- I even considered driving several states away to check one out, but the pictures the seller sent later looked…sketchy.
Persistence and a Little Bit of Luck
I almost gave up. Seriously, I was ready to throw in the towel and just buy a regular boat (boring!). But then, I stumbled upon a forum post from a guy who was thinking about selling his. It was a long shot, but I messaged him anyway.
And guess what? He replied! We chatted, I asked a million questions, he sent me a ton of pictures and videos. It looked…promising. I mean, it was used, so it had some minor wear and tear, but the engine seemed solid, and the price was actually within my budget (after some serious haggling, of course).
Closing the Deal
After some serious back-and-forth, I use a inspection team to look, and every detail has passed. So I booked time to meet him.I payed for it,and I finally got my own Seabreacher!
It’s been a wild ride, but hey, now I’m the proud owner of a used Seabreacher. Stay tuned for updates on my underwater (and above-water) adventures!
