My Little Adventure with Gaming Mice

The Old Faithful Kicks the Bucket

The slightly different shape just clicked better with my grip style, which is more of a claw/fingertip hybrid. I felt a bit more connected to this mouse, more in control somehow. Look, after using both for a good while, switching back and forth, here’s the thing. The G Pro Superlight is a fantastic mouse. It’s super reliable, the battery life is nuts, and it’s built like a tank despite being so light. If you have a palm grip or just want a super safe, universally acclaimed shape, it’s probably a great pick. No wonder so many pros use it. It’s a workhorse.
But for me, personally? I found myself leaning towards the Model O 2 more often. It wasn’t like a night-and-day difference in performance, not really. My scores didn’t magically double or anything. It was more about the comfort and how it felt during long sessions. That slightly different shape and the click feel of the Model O 2 just suited my hand and preferences a tiny bit better. The Superlight felt like a high-quality tool, very professional. The Model O 2 felt more like an extension of my hand, more engaging, if that makes any sense.
It’s funny, isn’t it? You can read all the reviews, watch all the videos, but at the end of the day, with stuff like mice, it really comes down to how it feels in your hand, with your grip. There’s no “best” for everyone. My journey with these two just reminded me of that. I was just trying to solve a problem – my old mouse dying at the worst possible moment – and ended up learning a bit more about what I actually like in a mouse. It’s not always the most popular, most hyped-up thing that’s the right fit. Sometimes you gotta try a few things out, even if one looks a bit weird with all its holes, to find what truly works for you. It’s a bit like clothes, gotta try ’em on.
