My Eyes Were Just… Tired, You Know?
So, I’d been noticing my eyes were looking pretty beat. Like, all the time. Late nights, staring at screens, the usual stuff, I guess. Dark circles were becoming a permanent feature, and no amount of concealer seemed to quite do the trick. I was scrolling online one day, probably looking for a miracle cure, and stumbled upon these Skin Inc Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light Glasses. Sounded fancy, right? My eyes felt like they were screaming for help.
Giving These “Bright Eyes” Glasses a Shot
I’m always a bit skeptical about these gadget things, but my eyes were desperate. The whole “tri-light” thing caught my attention – different colors for different problems. Red for anti-aging, yellow for glow, and blue for soothing, or something like that. I read a bit about them, saw some pictures, and thought, okay, maybe this isn’t total snake oil. I figured, what the heck, let’s try it. So, I went ahead and ordered them.

When the package arrived, I remember feeling a little excited, like maybe this was it. It was pretty sleek, I’ll give them that. The glasses themselves felt surprisingly lightweight when I first picked them up. I pulled them out, found the charger – that was straightforward enough, just a USB cable – and plugged them in to get them juiced up. The instructions seemed simple too. Basically, make sure your face is clean, pop them on, pick your light, and chill for 10 minutes. Easy peasy, or so I hoped.
My First Go and Getting into the Groove
For my first try, I decided to go with the red light. I’d read it was supposedly good for fine lines, and Lord knows I’m starting to see those creep in around my eyes. So, after washing my face that evening, I put them on and pressed the button. It was a bit weird at first, seeing the world through a red haze, but not uncomfortable. I just laid back on the sofa, put on some music, and set a timer on my phone. Those ten minutes actually flew by.
I decided to try and make it a part of my evening routine. You know how it is, trying to stick to new habits. After cleansing my face, I’d put on the glasses while I listened to a podcast or just mentally zoned out. I tried to be consistent, aiming to use them maybe 4-5 times a week. I started rotating through the lights too, depending on how my eyes felt.
- Red light: I used this one the most for the first couple of weeks, focusing on those pesky crow’s feet.
- Yellow light: I switched to this on days when my under-eyes looked particularly dull and tired, hoping for that “glow” they talked about.
- Blue light: Honestly, I used this one less. But on a day my eyes felt a bit puffy and irritated from allergies, I gave it a shot. It actually felt quite nice and kind of soothing, even though the light itself isn’t cold or anything.
So, Did They Actually Do Anything?
Okay, so after a few weeks of pretty consistent use, I started to notice some subtle stuff. It wasn’t like I woke up one day looking 10 years younger, let’s be real. That’s not how these things work. But my under-eye area definitely looked a bit…brighter? Less like I hadn’t slept in a week, which was a big win for me. The puffiness, especially in the mornings, seemed to go down a bit quicker on the days I used them the night before.
I think the yellow light was my favorite for an immediate kind of “refreshed” look. My skin just seemed a little more even-toned there. The red light, well, that’s more of a long game, right? For anti-aging, you gotta be patient and stick with it. But I did feel like the skin around my eyes was a tad smoother, maybe a little plumper. It’s hard to say for sure if it was just the glasses or a combination of things, but I felt better about how my eyes looked.
What I liked about the whole process:

- They’re super easy to use. Seriously, no complicated steps. Just charge, put on, press button.
- Lightweight and pretty comfortable to wear for the 10-minute session. I could easily relax.
- The auto-timer is great, so you don’t have to watch the clock. It just shuts off.
What was just okay, or things to keep in mind:
- You do have to be consistent. I noticed if I skipped a bunch of days, any little improvements seemed to fade.
- It’s another step in the routine, so you have to commit that time. Ten minutes isn’t long, but some nights you’re just tired.
- The results are subtle. Don’t expect miracles overnight.
Still Using Them? Yeah, Mostly.
So yeah, I’m still using them. Not every single night like a super-disciplined skincare guru, because life happens. But I definitely try to use them a few times a week, especially when I know I’ve got an early start or my eyes are feeling particularly stressed. My eyes still get tired – that’s just modern life, you know? But I feel like these glasses give them a little bit of help, a little boost.
They haven’t magically erased every single fine line or dark circle, no product really does that. But there’s a definite improvement in the overall brightness and rested look of my eye area that I appreciate. For me, it was a decent little experiment, and I’m glad I gave these Skin Inc glasses a try. They’re part of the toolkit now when my eyes are screaming for a bit of TLC, and I just want to feel a bit more put-together without piling on makeup.
