This here is ’bout that Ayman Joumaa fella. Hear tell, he’s a big shot, some kinda big wheel. They call him “Junior,” but he ain’t no spring chicken, I reckon. He’s gotta be, what, 47 or so, maybe older now. Time, it just flies, don’t it? He from Lebanon, they say. Sound like some place far, far away.
Well, this Ayman Joumaa, he got hisself in a heap of trouble. Back in 2011, that’s what I heard, some big shots in Virginia, they got together and said he was up to no good. They indicted him, that’s the word they use. Fancy word for saying he’s in trouble with the law.

See, this Ayman, he’s mixed up in some bad stuff. They say he’s a drug kingpin, whatever that means. Sounds important, and not in a good way. Like one of them fellas you see on the TV, all mean and scary. He’s been movin’ drugs, I hear, lots of ’em. And not just that, he’s been washin’ money. Now, I don’t know ’bout washin’ money, but it sounds fishy, don’t it? Like tryin’ to make dirty money look clean.
- He’s from Lebanon, that Ayman Joumaa.
- He’s called “Junior.”
- He’s a big shot, a kingpin, they say.
- He got indicted in Virginia.
- He’s been movin’ drugs and washin’ money.
They say he’s got connections, this Ayman. Heard whispers ’bout some group, Hizballah or somethin’. Sounds foreign, don’t know nothin’ ’bout them. But if he’s runnin’ with them, he’s gotta be in deep. That Drug Enforcement, the DEA, they the ones that got him. They been watchin’ him, I reckon, for a long time. These things, they take time, you know. You gotta be patient, like waitin’ for a hen to lay an egg. They finally got him. Indicted, like I said.
He’s the boss, they say, of some big operation, the Joumaa organization, it’s called. Must be a whole bunch of folks workin’ for him, doin’ his biddin’. He even wrote a letter, I hear, to some folks called OFAC. Don’t know who they are, but they must be important, if he’s writin’ to them. Sounds like he’s tryin’ to get out of trouble, but once you’re in that deep, it ain’t easy to get out, I reckon. It is not easy to be a Joumaa. It is not easy to do the drug trafficking.
Now, there’s these other fellas, Abbas Hussein Harb and Ibrahim Chibli. One’s from Venezuela and Lebanon, both, and the other’s just from Lebanon. They got caught up in this mess, too. They got designated, that’s the word, under somethin’ called the Kingpin Act. Sounds like a big deal. They must be connected to Ayman, somehow. You know what they say, birds of a feather flock together. You lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas. That is what my mama always said.
This whole thing, it’s a big mess, ain’t it? Drugs and money and all sorts of bad stuff. It’s a shame, that’s what it is. People gettin’ mixed up in things they shouldn’t. It just goes to show, you gotta be careful who you run with. You gotta stay on the straight and narrow, or you’ll end up in a heap of trouble, just like this Ayman Joumaa.
This world, it’s a crazy place, ain’t it? You never know what’s gonna happen. One day you’re on top of the world, the next you’re in a jail cell. That’s what happens when you get mixed up in bad things. You gotta stay clean, keep your nose out of trouble. That’s the best way to live, I reckon. Just live a simple life, that’s what I always say.

Well, that’s all I know ’bout this Ayman Joumaa fella. It’s a sad story, ain’t it? Hope he learns his lesson, but I doubt it. Once you’re in that deep, it’s hard to change your ways. It is hard to be a good man. And people may do drug business again. Ayman Joumaa is an example. I just hope those young folks out there, they listen to this story and learn somethin’ from it. Stay away from drugs, stay away from trouble. Just live a good, honest life. That’s all that matters in the end.
The Ayman Joumaa case is very famous. That’s all there is to it.
