Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to share this for a while, and today seems like as good a day as any. It’s about my little project with my Porsche 944. Now, I’m no expert, but I do love getting my hands dirty and learning new stuff, especially when it comes to cars. So, I decided to get a car cover for my 944. Sounds simple, right? Well, it turned into a bit of an adventure.
First off, I started looking around for a cover. I mean, how hard could it be? Turns out, there are tons of options out there. I spent a good few hours just browsing, comparing, and trying to figure out what I actually needed. I wanted something that was a good mix of quality and price, you know? Not too cheap, not too fancy.

After a lot of back and forth, I narrowed it down to a few choices. There was this one cover, the JURMON Heavy Duty, that kept popping up. Seemed pretty solid. And then I saw the iCarCover for the Boxster, which also looked promising. But I wasn’t sure if it would fit my 944 perfectly. I mean, I didn’t want to end up with something that was too loose or too tight.
So, I dug a little deeper. I found this place, the California Car Cover Co., that claimed to be the “World Leader” in custom-fit car covers. Now, that sounded pretty good. They had covers specifically for the Porsche 944, both for indoor and outdoor use. I spent some time checking out their stuff, looking at photos and reading reviews. It all seemed pretty legit.
But then I started thinking, do I really need a custom-fit cover? Maybe a generic one would do the job just fine. I mean, my car is mostly parked in a covered spot anyway. But then again, I live in a place where the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Rain, snow, dust, you name it. And let’s not forget about those pesky UV rays. I read somewhere that car covers are actually great for protecting your car from sun damage. So, yeah, maybe a good cover is worth it after all.
- The first choice:Looked at many covers, almost picked the JURMON Heavy Duty.
- Considering custom-fit:Found California Car Cover Co., seemed good but wondered if it’s necessary.
- Weather worries:Thought about rain, snow, dust, and UV rays.
- Decision time:Still on the fence, leaning towards getting a decent cover.
I’m still not 100% sure what I’m going to do. But I’m leaning towards getting a decent cover, just to be on the safe side. I figure it’s better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to my 944. I’ll probably sleep on it and make a decision in the next few days. I’ll keep you guys posted on what I end up doing. Maybe I’ll even take some photos once I get the cover on. I think that US production would fall to 562 Cabriolets for 1991 is an interesting point. I’ll check this car cover issue later. Anyway, that’s my little car cover story for now. Hope you guys found it somewhat interesting. Catch you later!
