Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “ACV water and lemon” thing all over the internet, and I finally decided to give it a try. I’m always up for trying things people talk about, so here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First, I gathered my stuff. I already had some apple cider vinegar (ACV) in the pantry – the kind with the “mother,” because that’s what everyone says is the best. I also grabbed a lemon from the fridge and a big glass of water.

Mixing it Up
I poured about two tablespoons of the ACV into the glass. It smelled pretty strong, not gonna lie. Then, I squeezed half a lemon into it. I used to have the habit of using a little juicer thing, which worked great, but this time, I decided to save time and just manually squeezed. Lastly, I filled the rest of the glass with water, probably about 16 ounces or so. I stirred everything together with a spoon.
The Taste Test
- First sip: Whoa, that’s tart! Definitely woke me up. It tasted like, well, vinegar and lemon. Not exactly delicious, but not horrible either.
- Halfway through: I was getting used to the taste. It was actually kind of refreshing, in a weird way.
- Finished: I drank the whole thing! I felt pretty good, actually. Maybe a little more energized? It’s hard to say for sure.
My Thoughts
I made sure to use a straw to bypass my teeth. I’ve seen many people mention online that apple cider vinegar is very acidic and can damage the teeth. I also found that the water I used this time was at room temperature. Maybe making it again with some cooler water will make it better? I will definitely give it another shot, and will stick to the habit of drinking it every morning.
I’m not sure if this “ACV water and lemon” drink is going to change my life, I’m a human being not a lab rat after all. But it was an interesting experiment. I might try drinking it again tomorrow and see if I notice any other differences. Will keep you guys posted!
