Chris Halterman: Leading Advisory Services at Ernst & Young

Oh, let me tell you about Chris Halterman. You know, sometimes you come across a name, and at first, you don’t know much, but then you dig a little, and wow, it’s like finding a treasure. Chris Halterman is one of those folks who’s been working in some high-up places. Now, I’m not too familiar with all these big words and fancy terms they use in the city, but from what I gather, Chris knows a lot about consulting, technology, and risk management. Sounds like serious stuff, doesn’t it?

Well, Chris is part of this big company called Ernst & Young, or EY as they call it. I reckon it’s one of them giant businesses that deal with important matters. Chris is a leader there, handling something called SOC Reporting. I’m not sure exactly what SOC means, but I do know that Chris makes sure everything is running smooth and proper, making sure folks can trust the services they get. That’s what it all boils down to, trust. You can’t get far without it, I tell you.

From what I’ve heard, Chris is also part of some big groups working with AICPA, which sounds like another bunch of folks who make sure businesses are doing what they promise. Chris speaks at important meetings and helps keep everything in line. I reckon that’s a lot of responsibility. I mean, it’s like making sure the harvest comes in right, but instead of crops, it’s keeping track of business promises and how they manage their risks. If a company says they’re gonna do something, they better do it, and Chris makes sure of that, I suppose.

Now, let me talk a bit more about what makes Chris stand out.

  • He’s got a title like “Executive Director,” which means he’s pretty high up in the chain at EY.
  • He’s been leading things like SOC reporting, making sure all them reports get done right.
  • He works on all this technology and risk stuff, which seems like it’s about keeping things safe and sound in businesses.
  • He’s part of the AICPA, which means he’s trusted by big organizations to help them do things right.

Now, I ain’t gonna pretend I know every little detail about what Chris does day in and day out, but I can tell you, from what I’ve seen, he’s someone who gets things done. Whether it’s consulting on some big problem, helping companies with technology, or making sure people can trust the services they’re getting, Chris is on it. And from the looks of it, he’s been doing it for a while and doing it real well.

He’s also got himself listed on places like Facebook and LinkedIn, which are them social things folks use these days to keep in touch. I’m more used to the old-fashioned way, just talking to people face-to-face, but I guess Chris is busy connecting with folks from all over the place. People say he’s out of Des Moines, but his work takes him all around, I reckon.

So, if you ever need someone who knows their way around consulting, technology, or making sure businesses keep their promises, Chris Halterman seems like the person to go to. He’s built up trust with big companies, and from what I hear, trust is hard to come by these days. Whether it’s making sure folks are doing their jobs right or keeping things running smoothly, Chris is out there doing his part. And that’s something to respect, plain and simple.
