Alright, so I’ve been grinding the ranked ladder in COD lately, and I’ve really been focusing on my SMG game. I wanted to share the class setup I’ve been rocking, ’cause it’s been working pretty damn well for me.
First thing I did was pick my weapon. After trying a bunch, I settled on the Vaznev-9k. This thing just shreds up close, and the recoil is pretty manageable once you get the hang of it.

My Vaznev-9k Setup
Next up, attachments. This is where it gets interesting. I spent a good chunk of time in the firing range, just testing different combos. Here’s what I found works best:
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum. Keeps the recoil in check, you know?
- Barrel: I use the KAS-1 381mm to make it all stable.
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser. Super important for that hip-fire accuracy when you’re running and gunning.
- Stock: Otrezat Stock. Helps with that sprint-to-fire speed, making you super quick.
- Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip. Extra ADS speed, and I think it makes control much better.
So, I slapped all those attachments on, and went back to the firing range. I spent maybe another hour just tweaking my sensitivity and practicing my recoil control. It was a bit of a pain, but totally worth it.
Then, I picked my perks. I’m all about that aggressive playstyle, so I went with:
- Overkill: for haveing two main guns.
- Battle Hardened: to minimize flashing and stunning.
- Fast Hands: to be able to switch weapons quickly.
- Quick Fix: health is very important.
For equipment, I’ve been using the Semtex for those quick, sticky kills, and the Flash Grenade to blind enemies before I rush in.
After setting the Loadout, I jumped into a few ranked matches to test it out. At first, I was getting wrecked. The recoil felt a little different in a real game compared to the firing range. But I stuck with it, made a few small adjustments to my sensitivity, and started to dominate.
I finally found my rhythm with this class, I’ve been climbing the ranks like crazy. It’s not perfect, and I’m still tweaking it here and there, but it’s definitely my go-to SMG class right now.

Hope this helps some of you guys out there. Give it a try, and let me know what you think!
