Alright, guys, so I finally got around to tackling Tornadus Incarnate in Pokémon GO. It’s been popping up in raids, and I wanted to get my hands on this bad boy. Here’s how it went down.
Preparation is Key (Or So I Thought)
First things first, I checked online what counters Tornadus. Everyone was saying to use strong Electric, Ice, and Rock-type Pokémon. I thought, “Okay, I got this!” I powered up my best Rampardos, a couple of decent Electivire, and a Mamoswine I was pretty proud of. I felt ready to rumble.

The Raid Lobby Shuffle
Getting enough people was the first hurdle. I joined a couple of remote raids using an app, but it was hit or miss. Sometimes we’d have a full squad of high-level players, other times it was me and a bunch of low-level accounts that clearly weren’t going to cut it. It took a few tries to find a group that looked like it could actually win.
The Battle Itself
Once we got into the raid, things got interesting. Tornadus hits pretty hard! My poor Rampardos, despite being my strongest Rock attacker, went down faster than I expected. Focus Blast was a killer, wiping out my first few Pokemon easily.
- First attempt: Total wipe. Not enough damage, and we timed out. Learned my lesson about dodging!
- Second attempt: Closer, but still no cigar. We had more people this time, but a few kept dropping out. Frustrating!
- Third Attempt:Joined a group chat and had enough high level players.
Victory (Finally!)
We won the raid on the third attempt.
After, I used golden razz berries and made sure to use curveball throws to have a better chance of catching Tornadus.
Finally caught it! Although the IVs weren’t amazing, I was just happy to have added it to my collection. Now, time to figure out if it’s actually any good in battles…
