Today, I messed around with this thing called “rnrc,” and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. So, I figured I’d share my experience, especially for those of you who might be scratching your heads about where to even begin.
First off, I started by digging around to figure out what this “rnrc” even was. I mean, I saw the name, but I didn’t really know what I was getting into. Turns out it has something to do with keeping track of runs, but there’s more to it. There are training plans and challenges, and it’s all free, which is pretty sweet.

Alright, so here’s what I did: I went ahead and got myself set up on the app. I just tapped on the “Club” tab (I’m on iOS, so it might be the “Challenges” tab if you’re on Android). Then, I saw this “Create a Challenge” option. Sounded like fun, so I tapped that. But then I realized, maybe I should just join one first to get the hang of it. So, I picked a challenge that seemed interesting and hopped in.
Now, these challenges, they’re no joke. They’ve got these things called “Speed Runs,” and they can be anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour long. I thought, “Alright, I can do 15 minutes, no problem.” But boy, was I in for a surprise. There’s this Nike Running Coach that guides you through the whole thing, which is helpful, but it’s still tough! Sometimes, they even have guests join the coach.
I gotta say, I really pushed myself. I mean, I was huffing and puffing, but I kept going. And you know what? It felt pretty good to push through it. I learned that I can actually do more than I thought I could.
After I finished the challenge, I explored the app some more. There are different training plans, like one for getting started, and another for a 5K. I’m thinking about trying one of those next. It might be a good way to keep me motivated and on track.
Here’s what I really like about rnrc:
- It’s totally free. No hidden costs or anything.
- It’s got these challenges that push you.
- There are training plans to help you improve.
- The Nike Running Coach is a nice touch.
So yeah, that’s my experience with rnrc so far. It’s been a good challenge, and I think I’m going to stick with it. If you’re looking for something to spice up your runs or just want to try something new, I’d say give it a shot. You might surprise yourself with what you can do.

A few things to keep in mind:
- Make sure you warm up before you start a Speed Run. Trust me on this one.
- Don’t be afraid to start slow. You can always increase the intensity later.
- Listen to your body. If something hurts, stop.
- Have fun! That’s what it’s all about, right?
Anyway, I hope this was helpful. I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is curious about rnrc. Let me know if you have any questions, and I’ll do my best to answer them. Happy running!
