Okay, so I wanted to mess around with the new Twist format in Hearthstone. I’ve been seeing some chatter online about the best decks, so I figured I’d dive in and see what all the fuss was about. I gotta say, it’s been a wild ride!
First thing I did was browse around to see what other people were playing. Checked out some forums, watched a couple of streams… you know, the usual. Got a general sense of the popular decks and the overall meta.

My Experiment Begins
Next, I started tinkering. I picked a few classes that looked interesting, like Warlock and Paladin, because they seemed pretty strong in this format. My starting point was just throwing together some cards that I thought would work well, based on what I’d seen and my own collection.
- Warlock: Started with a basic Zoo-style deck. You know, lots of cheap minions, some removal… the works. Tried to maximize card draw and board presence.
- Paladin: Went for a more midrange approach. Some solid early-game minions, then some bigger threats for the mid-to-late game. Threw in some buffs and healing to keep things going.
I played a bunch of games with each deck. Some worked great, others… not so much. It was a lot of trial and error, really. Kept tweaking the decks as I went, swapping cards in and out based on what I was facing and what felt weak.
After several games, I started noticing some patterns. Certain cards were just crushing it, while others were underperforming. So, I refined the decks even more. It felt like a constant process of adjustment, always trying to find that perfect balance.
The Final Touches
Finally, I felt like I had a couple of decks that were actually pretty solid. They weren’t perfect, of course, but they were winning consistently enough that I felt good about them.
It was a really fun experience, and I learned a ton about the Twist format in the process. I enjoy documenting the experiments and hope this helps others try new things in Hearthstone!
