How to Beat Gyarados in Raids: Effective Counters & Tips

Posted on 03/11/202403/11/2024 by ReportageRanger

Well now, let me tell ya about this Gyarados raid thing. Folks say it’s a big deal in them Pokémon Go games, and I reckon they ain’t wrong. Gyarados, that fella, he’s a tough cookie, bein’ a Water and Flying-type Pokémon. But don’t you worry, there’s ways to take him down, even if he seems mighty scary.

You see, Gyarados, he’s got a weakness. Now, I ain’t no fancy scholar, but I know when somethin’ is vulnerable. This big fish is 4 times weak to Electric-type moves. So, if you got some good Electric Pokémon like Mega Lucario or Keldeo, you’re in luck! Those critters can really pack a punch and make Gyarados think twice before flappin’ around.

Now, here’s a little list for ya:

  • Mega Lucario
  • Mega Sceptile
  • Mega Heracross
  • Keldeo

These are the best buddies to bring along when you’re tryin’ to take down that Gyarados in raids. You just need to make sure you steer clear of usin’ any Ground, Bug, Fightin’, Fire, Steel, or even Water-type moves, ‘cause they ain’t gonna do ya no good against this slippery fella.

Now, I’ve heard tell that Gyarados is a good general attacker. He ain’t the best of the best, but he can sure hold his own if you ain’t got no better options. It’s like when you’re makin’ a stew, and you don’t have the fancy spices; you just use what you got, and it can still turn out alright!

But if you want to solo this raid, ya gotta come prepared. You can do it if you’ve got a plan and some strong Electric moves. Ain’t nothin’ like a well-placed Thunderbolt to send that big fish floppin’!

So here’s a couple more tips:

  • Check the weather! If it’s rainy or stormy, your Electric moves will hit harder.
  • Team up with friends, it makes the whole thing a lot easier!
  • Keep an eye on your Pokémon’s health; don’t let ‘em get knocked out!

And don’t forget, Gyarados is also makin’ a splash in them mega raids come June 2024. So, if you wanna try your luck, you better be ready with your best critters! That Misty gal sure knows how to take care of her Pokémon, and Gyarados is no exception. Just remember, patience is key; you don’t wanna rush in and get yourself all beat up.

How to Beat Gyarados in Raids: Effective Counters & Tips

Well, I reckon that’s about all I got for ya on this Gyarados raid business. Just keep at it, bring your best Pokémon, and soon enough, you’ll be takin’ down that big fish like it’s nothin’. Happy raiding!
