How to use organic green coffee? Simple tips for you!

Posted on 16/03/202516/03/2025 by InsightWriter

Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about organic green coffee lately, and I decided to give it a shot myself. I’m a big coffee drinker, but I’m always looking for ways to, you know, make it a little healthier. Or at least feel like I’m making it healthier, haha.

My Green Coffee Experiment

First things first, I found some organic green coffee beans online. I made sure the packaging had that “organic” label, ’cause you never really know these days. I mean, anything can slap “organic” on it, right?

Then, I ground those bad boys up. Let me tell you, they’re tough! Way harder than regular roasted beans. My little grinder was working overtime. I was a little worried it was gonna burn out, but it survived. The grounds came out looking, well, green. Kind of like dried herbs.

Next, I brewed it up. I used my usual French press, because why not? I let it steep for a bit longer than usual, figuring it might need more time to, uh, extract all the goodness. I don’t know the science of it, I just guessed.

  • The Smell: Not like regular coffee at all. More like… grassy tea? It was kinda weird, not gonna lie.
  • The Taste: Okay, so this is where it gets interesting. It definitely didn’t taste like coffee. It was much milder, almost like a green tea, but with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Not bad, just… different.
  • The Color: Very light, pale green-ish color.

I drank the whole cup, slowly. I wanted to see if I felt any different. Did I get a super energy boost? Nope. Did I feel magically healthier? Not really. But, it was a nice change of pace. It felt lighter than my usual dark roast, and I didn’t get that jittery feeling I sometimes get from regular coffee.

I’ve been doing this for a few days now, swapping out one of my regular coffees for a cup of the green stuff. I’m still not sure about all the health claims, but I do like it as an occasional alternative. It’s something different, and it makes me feel like I’m doing something good for myself, even if it’s just in my head.

It is a very good trying and I like it.
