Man, I gotta tell you about this awesome happy hour I stumbled upon the other day. So, I was craving some good sushi, and a buddy of mine mentioned this place called Japaneiro’s. He was like, “Dude, their happy hour is the bomb!” Naturally, I had to check it out.
First thing I did was to try to figure out when this happy hour even was. Turns out, it’s every day from 3 PM to 6 PM. That’s a pretty sweet deal, three hours of discounted goodness. I made a mental note and planned my visit accordingly.

I rolled up to Japaneiro’s at like 4:30 PM, you know, prime happy hour time. The place had a pretty chill vibe, not too crowded but definitely had some people enjoying themselves. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender, a cool guy, slid a happy hour menu my way.
Here’s the breakdown of what I saw on that menu:
- Sushi rolls were a dollar off.
- They had these samplers for 3 bucks, which seemed like a steal.
- Appetizers were going for 5 dollars.
- Draft beers were just 2 bucks.
- And get this, sake bombs, wine, and margaritas were all 5 bucks a pop.
I started off with a couple of draft beers. I mean, 2 dollars for a beer? Can’t beat that. Then I ordered some sushi rolls. I think I got a spicy tuna roll and a California roll. With the dollar off, they were a pretty good deal, and they tasted amazing.
Next, I decided to try some of those 3 dollar samplers. They had a few different ones, and I ended up trying a couple of them. They were small, but hey, for 3 bucks, it was a great way to try different things without breaking the bank.
While I was munching on my samplers, I saw a few people ordering those sake bombs. I figured, why not? It’s happy hour, right? So, I got myself a sake bomb, and it was a fun little experience. Five bucks well spent, I’d say.
I spent a good couple of hours there, just enjoying the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. I ended up trying a few more things from the happy hour menu, like a couple of the appetizers. The edamame was good, and so were the gyoza. Everything was just 5 dollars, which is crazy cheap for the quality.

All in all, it was a solid happy hour experience.
I probably spent around 20 bucks, and I was stuffed and had a nice little buzz going. I definitely recommend checking out Japaneiro’s happy hour if you’re in the Sugar Land area. It’s a great way to enjoy some good food and drinks without spending a fortune. Just make sure you get there between 3 PM and 6 PM to catch those deals.
