I wanted to share my experience playing around with Reina in Tekken 8. She’s a cool new character, but man, she’s got a lot of moves! I tried to get good with her, and it was a real trip.
First off, I jumped into practice mode. I started by trying to remember some basic moves. I mashed some buttons and saw what she did. Reina’s got some moves from the Mishima style and some Taido stuff mixed in. It took a while, but I got used to her basic punches and kicks.

Next, I tried to do some combos. I looked up some beginner guides online, but they weren’t as detailed as I hoped. I wanted something that really broke things down, so I decided to make my own notes. I spent hours just messing around, trying different button combinations to see what worked.
- I started with her standard combos. These were pretty good for when I was up close or in the middle of the fight. I practiced doing a simple punch-punch-kick combo until I could do it without thinking.
- After that, I tried some of her special moves. She’s got some lightning-fast moves that can really mess up your opponent. I practiced her spinning kicks and her quick dashes. It took a while to get the timing right, but when I did, it felt awesome.
- I also spent some time working on her throws. Reina has some cool throws that can really turn the tide of a fight. I practiced grabbing my opponent and slamming them into the ground. It felt pretty satisfying to land one of those.
After a lot of practice, I started to feel more comfortable with Reina. I could pull off her combos more consistently, and I started to understand how to use her different moves in different situations. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it.
I made my own cheat sheet with all the combos and moves I found most useful. It’s not perfect, but it helped me remember everything. It was a real learning experience. I even started winning some matches online, which felt great!
Reina’s a fun character to play, but she’s definitely not easy. She’s got a lot of moves, and it takes time to learn them all. But if you put in the work, she can be a real powerhouse. Sharing my notes here, hoping it helps someone else out there who’s trying to learn her too. Keep practicing, and don’t give up!
