Alright, so the other day, I got a hankering for some Chinese food, and Cheng Family Restaurant in Hamilton, Montana, kinda popped into my head. Heard some good things, you know? But before I commit, I always wanna see the menu. Just to check, you know, if they’ve got the usual stuff or something a bit different.
So, first thing I did, pretty standard, jumped on the computer. Fired up a search engine. Typed in “Cheng Family Restaurant Hamilton MT menu.” Simple enough, right?

You’d think finding a menu these days would be a piece of cake. Not always. The first hits were the usual – review sites, map stuff. Some hinted at dishes, but a full menu? That took a bit more doing.
Clicked a few. Some sites say “menu here!” but then, poof, nothing. Or it’s some delivery thing, not what I was after. Little bit of a runaround, if I’m honest. I just wanted to see their menu, the one they actually use in the restaurant.
So, I had to dig a bit. Tried “Cheng’s Hamilton Montana menu PDF.” Sometimes you strike gold with a PDF. Not this time, not right away. Then I thought, hey, Facebook. Lots of smaller joints use Facebook for everything. So, off I went to search there.
- Punched in “Cheng Family Restaurant Hamilton MT Facebook” into the search bar.
- Had a good scroll through their posts. You know, looking for menu pics or links.
- Checked their ‘About’ section too. Sometimes it’s tucked away there.
Found their page. Good sign. Scrolled some more. Saw food pics, looked tasty. Sometimes the menu’s pinned, or in an album. You just gotta poke around. It’s not always laid out on a red carpet for you, this stuff.
And then, success! After a bit more clicking – I think it was actually in their Facebook photos, or maybe a customer posted a pic on one of those review sites. Honestly, had a few tabs open, so it’s a bit of a blur which one finally showed it. But there it was, a clear photo of their menu. Not fancy, but it worked.
It wasn’t some high-tech PDF download, just a good ol’ picture. But I could read all the dishes, see the prices. Had all the classics, your General Tso’s, your sweet and sour. And a few other things that looked like house specials. Always like to see those.
So yeah, that’s how I tracked it down. Just goes to show, sometimes even finding a menu takes a bit of effort. Can’t always expect it to be super obvious. Gotta try a few different ways. Search engines are a start, but then you might need to check social media, or even those review sites where people share photos.
Anyway, I got the menu. Now the real challenge begins – figuring out what to order! That’s a whole other story, though.
