Alright so today I decided to tackle this Pandaria Remix event everyone’s buzzing about. Heard people complaining it takes forever to level up anything. Figured I’d put in some real hours and see what I could crack. First couple hours were just… rough. Spent way too much time running around like a headless chicken.
Started With the Usual Grind
Jumped in with my new character, right? Just started doing quests. The yellow exclamation marks everywhere. Did every single one I stumbled over. Big mistake. Felt like I wasn’t gaining anything. XP bar was crawling. Reputation? Barely moved. Felt like I wasted a solid hour doing fetch quests for peanuts. Getting super frustrated, you know?
Then I remembered the “Infinite” part in the campaign title. Maybe it meant something specific? Started paying attention to the event vendors and the special currency icons popping up.
Switched Tactics Hard
This is where it clicked for me:
- Stopped chasing regular quests: Yeah, unless they were literally on the way. Big time sink for little gain.
- Went full murder hobo on Timeless Isle: Seriously. Spammed those rares and the trash mob packs like crazy. The Infinite Tokens started dropping way more frequently than anything else gave XP or rep. Seemed like every rare kill or dense group gave tokens.
- Grinded on mobs near event objectives: Found spots where event objectives (like closing rifts) happened AND had tons of easy mobs. Killed everything non-stop while waiting for the objective to reset or while helping others. Double-dipping!
- Focused on the Infinite Rep vendors: Didn’t just hoard tokens. Went straight to the vendors selling XP boosts and rep tokens. Bought those boost items ASAP and popped them constantly. Made the next kill wave give even more. Snowball effect started happening.
- Ran with random groups: Didn’t bother forming a “proper” group. Just saw people fighting stuff, jumped in. Everyone tagging mobs meant kills happened fast, loot flew everywhere. More tokens, more rep items dropping.
Suddenly, Everything Got Faster
Once I stuck to this kill-everything-non-stop plan near objectives, it was like night and day. Levels started popping quick. Reputation bars were actually moving noticeably. Went from feeling stuck to seeing progress every few minutes. Hit level cap WAY sooner than I thought possible for a new char in this event. Felt good, man.
So yeah, simple tip? Forget quests, go slaughter everything near event spots, spend tokens on buffs immediately, and tag along with any random group you see. Sounds almost too dumb, but it works. Spent less time overall and got way more done. My wrist hurts from all the clicking, but hey, at least I’m not still grinding basic quests!
