So, you’re asking me about popular folks in France, eh? Well, let me tell ya, ain’t no rocket science figuring that out. People there like who they like, just like we do here. You got them big shots in Paris, always makin’ a fuss in them fancy clothes and all. I see ’em on the telly sometimes.
Now, there’s this tower, right? Big ol’ metal thing, sticks way up in the air. Eiffel Tower, they call it. Everybody knows about that one. Folks flock to see it, like flies to honey. Must be somethin’ special, I reckon. And that old church, Notre Dame? Burnt up a bit, but they fixed it, I think. Lots of history there, they say. Folks like that kinda stuff, old things and all.

Then you got them museums, filled with pictures and whatnots. Louvre, that’s the big one. Fancy paintings, statues of naked people, all sorts of things. I don’t get it myself, but rich folks seem to like it. And that big ol’ palace, Versailles, where the kings and queens used to live. Man, talk about livin’ large! Must’ve taken a lot of scrubbin’ to keep that place clean, I tell ya.
And there’s this island place, Mont Saint-Michel. Looks like somethin’ out of a fairytale. Up on a hill, right in the water. How they built that thing, I’ll never know. People go there to pray and stuff, I think. Or maybe just to take pictures. Who knows?
Now, them folks in the old days, they had a name, san…san somethin’. Sans-culottes! That’s it. Guess they didn’t wear fancy pants, huh? Regular folks, like you and me, probably. They made a big ruckus back then, fightin’ for somethin’ or other. Always somethin’ to fight about, ain’t there?
And then there’s this lady, Coco Chanel. She made clothes, I think. Fancy ones, for the rich ladies. Started out small, but made a big name for herself. People still talk about her today. Guess she knew how to make a pretty dress, huh?
- Then there’s this writer fella, Victor somethin’.
- Hugo! Victor Hugo.
- He wrote books, lots of ’em.
People in France still read his stuff, I hear. Must’ve been a smart fella, puttin’ all them words down on paper.
So, there ya have it. Some popular folks and places in France. Towers and churches, museums and palaces, regular folks and fancy ladies. They got it all, just like us, I guess. People are people, no matter where you go.
