Okay, so I wanted to do something fun with the kids, and you know, get them a little bit into history too. I thought, “Hey, let’s do a coloring page of the Great Wall of China!” Sounds simple enough, right?
First, I searched for “Great Wall of China coloring page”. Lots of stuff came up, a really good amount of options, actually.

I picked one that looked detailed but not too crazy. I mean, we’re talking about kids here, not a professional artist! It had a good stretch of the wall, some towers, and even a little bit of the mountains in the background. I have find a image,i think it is very good choose.
Then,I print it out. My old printer, it’s a bit slow. I am waiting a monent and get it.
Next up, I grabbed the crayons. You know, the big box with all the colors. We always need that, right? Make sure we had some good browns, grays, and maybe even a little bit of green for the trees and stuff.
Finally, I sat down with the kids and we all started coloring. It was pretty relaxing, actually. My little one, she went a little wild with the colors – purple wall, anyone? – but hey, it’s all about having fun, right?
The older one, he was really trying to get the details right, shading the bricks and making the towers look all majestic. It was awesome to see him so focused.
The Result
- Kids had fun. Always a win!
- We talked a little bit about China and the Great Wall while we colored. Sneaky learning!
- We now have a colorful (if slightly inaccurate) picture of the Great Wall to hang on the fridge.
All in all, a pretty successful afternoon project. Easy to set up, kept the kids busy, and we even learned a little something along the way. Definitely recommend giving it a try!
