SaluSpa Palm Springs Review: Is This Inflatable Hot Tub Worth Your Money?

Posted on 09/01/202509/01/2025 by FeatureFinder

Alright, so, I finally caved and got myself one of those inflatable hot tubs – the Saluspa Palm Springs. I’d been eyeing them for a while, you know, always thinking “maybe next year” but this year, I just went for it. I have been looking at the round one, it said it could fit four to six people. And 140 air jets sounded pretty good to me.

First off, getting this thing to my place was no big deal. It came in a surprisingly compact box, all things considered. Setting it up? That was a breeze, too. I just unfolded it, hooked up the pump, and started inflating. Took me about, I don’t know, 15 minutes, maybe less?

  • Inflate: The first thing I did was obviously inflate it. I used the pump that came with it.
  • Fill with water: Then I grabbed my garden hose and started filling it up. This took longer than I expected, probably a couple of hours to get it to the right level.
  • Heating up: I turned on the heater. This is where patience is key. The box says it takes about 24 hours to reach the max temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It said the same thing on the internet. Mine took a full day.
  • Jump in: Finally! After the water was hot, I hopped in.

Honestly, the first time I got in, I was a little underwhelmed by the jets. They’re more like… bubbly than jet-y, if that makes sense. They create a nice, relaxing atmosphere, but don’t expect a deep tissue massage or anything. The internet said it is not as powerful as the real hot tubs, so I knew it. It is not a deal-breaker for me, though. I still find it super relaxing to just sit in there and let the bubbles do their thing. Especially after a long day, it’s pretty much heaven.

One thing I was worried about was the energy bill. I live in California, so I know there are some rules about energy efficiency and hot tubs. I did a little digging, and apparently, my state might restrict the sale of certain models that don’t meet their standards. Luckily, I think this one is okay. I haven’t gotten my first energy bill since I started using it, so we’ll see how that goes.

My Verdict

So, would I recommend the Saluspa Palm Springs? Yeah, I would. It’s a great way to get that hot tub experience without spending a fortune. It’s comfortable, easy to set up, and perfect for just chilling out. Just don’t go in expecting a powerful massage, and be prepared to wait a bit for it to heat up. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase.

I’ve heard a few people say they got theirs from some big store, but I actually found mine somewhere else for a pretty decent price. It might be worth shopping around a bit if you’re thinking about getting one. I’ve had two friends buy hot tubs like this, and they seem pretty happy with them, too. Anyway, that’s my two cents on the Saluspa Palm Springs. Hope this helps someone out there who’s on the fence about getting one!
