Where to find Moroccan beer Casablanca? (Your guide to this popular drink)

Posted on 08/06/202508/06/2025 by NewsNotifier

So, I’d been hearing whispers about this Moroccan beer, Casablanca. You know how it is, you hear a name, it sticks in your head. Figured I ought to track it down and see what all the fuss, if any, was about. It’s always a bit of a mission, trying these things out for yourself rather than just reading about them.

Getting My Hands on It

It wasn’t like it was on every street corner, mind you. Took a bit of looking around. Finally, there it was. The bottle itself? Pretty straightforward, nothing too wild. Standard green glass, a label that looked vaguely North African, I suppose. Fair enough. I wasn’t expecting a work of art, just a beer.

Got it home, let it chill for a bit. You can’t rush these things, especially with a new brew. The anticipation is part of the whole deal, right? Or maybe I just like to drag things out.

The Pour and The First Look

Okay, time to get down to business. Popped the cap. Decent little hiss, always a good sign. Grabbed a glass – I try to always use a glass, gives you a better look at what you’re dealing with. Poured it out. It was, well, beer-colored. Golden, clear. A bit of a foamy head formed, maybe a finger or two thick, but it didn’t hang around for a long time. Pretty standard lager appearance, really. Nothing too surprising there.

Sniffing and Sipping

Gave it a swirl, stuck my nose in. What did I get? A little bit of malt, maybe a faint touch of something grassy or grainy. Honestly, not a whole lot jumping out at me aroma-wise. Just smelled like a clean, simple beer. No complaints, but no fireworks either.

Alright, the main event. Took a sip. Then another. It’s definitely a lager. Crisp, that’s the first word that came to mind. Went down pretty easy. Not too heavy, not too light. There was a mild bitterness, but nothing that’ll make you pucker your lips. It felt quite clean on the palate.

I drank a bit more, trying to see if any other flavors would show up. It stayed pretty consistent, really. A straightforward, no-nonsense kind of beer. You could probably drink a few of these on a hot day without much trouble. It wasn’t trying to be anything it wasn’t, if that makes sense.

Final Thoughts

So, Casablanca beer. Was it life-changing? Nah. Was it a bad beer? Not at all. It was just… a beer. A perfectly decent, drinkable lager. It did the job. If I was somewhere and it was on offer, would I have one? Sure, why not. It’s the kind of beer that doesn’t demand too much attention, which sometimes is exactly what you want.

It’s another one ticked off the list. Another experience logged. Sometimes it’s not about finding the best thing ever, but just about trying something new, seeing what’s out there. And this one? Yeah, it was an okay way to spend a bit of time.
